Do Not Love The World.

1 John 2:15-16

“[Do Not Love the World] Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world.”

John 15:17-19 (The Gospel of John)

17This is my command: Love each other.

18"If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. 19If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.

Let us not imitate the world by engaging in hatred and condemnation towards one another.

Romans 8
1There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

CrownRing-
" Love one another as I have loved you."

Years ago, when I was consencrated -into a minor ministry, one of the prayers said over me, was "Love one another as I have loved you." It is probably one of the simplests charges- but one of the hardest to implement daily. Its to easy to fall into the small pit, and stumble. Its easy for us to stumble to begin with. This stumbling can be just about anything- from saying hurtful things- to- gross injustice. We are weak- and the Evil one is always lurking- seeking a way to make us stumble.

This is where our heavenly Father and his Son step in. We were his children before we came to earth- we are his children now- and ever shall be. If we repent, and allow him to live within our pure tabernacles- then- perhaps we won't stumble as much- if at all.

Even though we may repent to the Father- and then we go and humbly beg for forgiveness from whomever we hurt- if they don't choose to forgive us- then- the ball is back in their court- and they are succumbing to the Evil one. In fact- I recall reading recently that their Sin may be even worse- for they didn't forgive.

There are to many people in the western world who fall into that category. Either its due to pride, or hurt- who knows exactly- but when they do fall into that- they very seldom, if ever leave that opinion behind. As Christians- who are worthy and pure- as pure as we can be anyway- we need to be the ones who seek repentence, belive in the passion and atonement- and practice that true love- between one another- even those whom may not be Christian- and forgive.

ITs very hard to love one another. How many of us do put restrictions on how or whom we love and forgive?

We say- well if- they come and bring back whatever it was they took- or paid back whatever they used- or, or, or....and if...
And if they don't- well- I don't want them around. Sometimes we label things we don't like- perhaps its someone who is different than us- or sick- or dying- or someone who isn't whole? As Christians- we need to be loving to all- with no restrictions- the list above pertains to many people- people who call themselves Devout Christians!

Well- what do I know-like Socrates- I know nothing. What I do know- is that I am a child of the heavenly father- who seeks his praise and love. Someday- I hope again to be with him.

Great writing Crownring!
Peace
